Celluloid Spotlight is the brain child of Merrill Barr and Hash Aguirre. Every week the two of them break down what makes movies tick. Originally known as TFS Spotlight, the show garnered much success in it’s early days. Keeping audiences interested and obtaining interviews from key movie players. Not in the form of news analysis or film reviews, but rather through intellectual debates. What makes horror films popular? Why is 3D such a success? Is action more than just a popcorn seller? These and many more topics are examined. After leaving The Film Stage, TFS Spotlight became Celluloid Spotlight and the newest member of the Fat Guys At The Movies family.
